China-UK Arts Management Placement Programme 1999
This was the inaugural China-UK Arts Management Placement Programme, where 19 Chinese Arts Managers spent five weeks in the , gaining practical skills about arts management practice and developing links with their counterparts. Several significant collaborations and in addition to an exchange of skills and knowledge arose out of this initiative which was done in partnership with British Council China and the Ministry of Culture of the People’s Republic of China. Additional support came from Arts Council England, Scottish Arts Council and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
