Beyond the Sea/Outremer (2005/06)

As part of this project, 12 music and dance programmers and producers from South East England and France travelled together to the Festival of the Dhow Countries in Zanzibar in July 2005.  The participants were involved in two seminars whilst at the festival and attended meetings and performances in South East England and Northern France during 2006.  This programme, a collaboration between Arts Council England South East, the French Embassy in London, British Council, and Visiting Arts, celebrated the strong creative partnerships that exist between and the and aimed to encourage further collaboration between the two countries in their work in East Africa .
